Welcome to the World of Depot Dad

Two days ago, a photographer from the Marin IJ newspaper stopped by to shoot some pics of me with Oliver and Amélie. I’m still not exactly sure why, but it may have to do with an article that will be appearing in the IJ’s Sunday magazing section called “here.” And, I think it is going to appear around Father’s day. I’d like to offer this post to any new readers who happened upon this site via that article, or for returning visitors who might like a review of the happenings around here.

I’d also like to let readers know that I’ve finally made a category list at the bottom of the right hand column for readers who would like to browse blog entries by category.

If you are new here, welcome.

I am a single father of two children living in Novato, CA. I started this blog in June of 2008 as a way of documenting my changing life into the world of part time single parenting. Shortly thereafter i was diagnosed with advanced melanoma and the blog quickly evolved into a record of my experiences of living with cancer. Through the miracle of modern medicine, I am still around pondering the meaning of the universe, drawing comics for my children and trying to get a date.

If you would like to see some comics I made for my children, you can go here.
If you would like to hear and see me tell my favorite stories, you can click here.
If you would like to review my list (so far) of one hundred things that make me happy (I call Depot Bells) click here.
If you would like to friend me on Facebook, you can go here.

A chronological archive of my previous posts is located at the very bottom of the right hand column.

I’ll be returning to more regular blog posts very soon. The best is yet to come.
